Summary:
The work schedule for this position is:

Duties
The Housing Supervisor oversees the overall operation of the Housing Section by leading a team of Housing Assistants and Make-Ready staff to locate, inspect, acquire, assign, maintain and clean of housing units for U.S. Direct-Hire employees. The incumbent is an expert in the real estate field and provides judgment and advice to the General Services Officers (GSO).

Qualifications and Evaluations
Requirements:
EXPERIENCE: Three years of progressively responsible experience in real estate management, logistics, law and customer service or administrative duties. One year of supervisory experience is required.
JOB KNOWLEDGE: Must have a good working knowledge of Lusaka real estate market. Must be familiar with American living standards. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office. Must have a 5 year valid Zambian driver’s Class B license.
Education Requirements:
A University Degree in Real Estate Management, Logistics, Law or Business Administration is required.
Evaluations:
Post may choose to add the phrase “This may be tested” after a language, skill, and/or ability. Review the VA template for specific information.
LANGUAGE: Must have fluent, written/spoken (including an ability to translate) English. Good working knowledge; written and spoken Bemba and/or Nyanja.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must possess supervisory and management ability. Must have strong negotiation and bargaining skills. Must be culturally sensitive in dealing with American mission employees. Must be able to work independently, with minimal supervision, under pressure and tight schedules.

The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
